Clariant has returned to the leading personal care ingredient and formulation show in Asia – in-cosmetics Asia, this year with a strong line-up of high-performance ingredients boosted by the recent acquisition of leading high-value ingredient provider Lucas Meyer Cosmetics. Newly launched at the exhibition are Clariant’s Hostacerin CCT, Eclipsogen CAP series with Nanocon™, their patented encapsulation technology and Genadvance™ Series, in addition to Pickmulse™, Corneopeptyl and CycloRetin from Lucas Meyer Cosmetics by Clariant. Together they demonstrate how the minimalist beauty concept is perfectly executed with the highest degree of simplicity thanks to breakthrough innovation and years of formulation expertise.
Under the latest minimalist beauty trend, more and more consumers have their eyes set on fewer high-quality products that can help them achieve the desired results on their skins through simplified skincare routines while maintaining maximized efficacy. With this less-is-more concept of beauty quickly gaining momentum, innovative ingredients that focus on enhanced performance and consistency with maximum effectiveness will undoubtedly be able to generate more demand from the market and this is exactly what Clariant is showcasing at the in-cosmetics show.
One of the featured products from Clariant at in-cosmetics Asia, the versatile Hostacerin CCT, taps right into this emerging minimalist trend. This easy-to-use emulsifier has a wide application area with cold mixing, enabling the creation of stable low viscosity skincare and wet wipes. Skin moisturization could be lifted significantly with as little as 10% of Hostacerin CCT.
Another featured product from Clariant is the Eclipsogen CAP series, it’s the first encapsulated UV filters blends produced via Clariant’s Nanocon technology. Even at low concentrations in formulations, Eclipsogen CAP helps achieve a high SPF value in sun care products. Being cold processable, it is easy to formulate and readily compatible with sunscreen ingredients to enable light skin sensory with no white cast. To allow visitors at in-cosmetics Asia to get a better glimpse of the product, it will also be featured in the show’s Spotlight On displays and demonstrated at the Formulation Lab session during the exhibition.
Alongside showcasing their new launch that utilizes Nanocon technology, they spotlight the versatile Genadvance series, a series of hair conditioning ingredients targeting different hair issues. The range has been developed to overcome constraints of conventional quats and allow formulators to access more product options and claims, extremely versatile and can be used in all hair care product formats, rinse-off and leave-on.
“At the in-cosmetics Asia show, visitors will be able to get first-hand knowledge about how our highlighted ingredients are designed to meet the everyday skincare needs with the complexity element taken out of the beauty equation – meaning that personal care products are there to perform with simplicity but without a compromise on performance,” says Vipul Bhatt, Head of Personal & Home Care Asia Pacific.
Clariant’s already rich lineup of innovative ingredients just got a huge boost through its acquisition of leading high-value ingredient provider Lucas Meyer Cosmetics earlier this year. Its Pickmulse emulsifier will be launched during in-cosmetics Asia. Based on Lucas Meyer Cosmetics by Clariant’s breakthrough patented quinoa starch technology, this next-generation 2-in-1 surfactant-free emulsifier enhances the sensory attributes of formulations, while allowing for customizable encapsulation systems. Pickmulse will also be featured at the show’s Innovation Zone, together with two other award-winning ingredients: Corneopeptyl and CycloRetin.
Clariant will exhibit alongside Lucas Meyer Cosmetics by Clariant at booths T40 and J40 respectively during the 3-day show of in-cosmetics Asia taking place at BITEC in Bangkok, Thailand on 5-7 November 2024. Visitors are welcome to drop by the booths where the technology and commercial teams of Clariant will be on hand to give full product highlights, demonstrations and answer any questions.
